Town tour

Yesterday we had a town tour of Tbilisi on foot- about 4 1/2 hours. Taxis dropped us at the Metrkhi Church on the left bank. We walked across the Mikvari River and we climbed up to the Fortress and back down, visiting churches, a mosque, a synagogue and other monuments on the way. One stop for mint tea.
This is picture of the famous sulphur baths which sadly I did not enjoy. I couldn't get anyone to go with me.
Whoops. My picture of the sulphur baths is on my camera, not the blackberry. Instead a picture of Anchiskati Church, a 6th century church. This church contained an icon of Jesus said to have been made when a cloth placed on the face of Jesus was left on a woodpile and Jesus' face was etched into the wood.
